The Waldo County Climate Action Coalition (WCCAC) is a coalition of organizations whose mission is to collaborate to reduce impacts of climate change and build sustainable communities in Waldo County.
We are focused on amplifying our respective organizational efforts by working together on educational programming and outreach. In 2026 we are focusing our efforts on renewable energy transition, the pledge to reduce single use plastic, and food security and local food production. A committee of WCCAC members have joined together to to help people in our community sign up for SNAP benefits. We are working in collaboration with Waldo County Bounty with this effort.
