About a third of all human-caused greenhouse gas emissions is linked to food. Eating more sustainably and reducing waste is essential to fighting climate change in Waldo County.

The Coalition does not yet have an official working group for Food, but several of our member organizations’ missions and actions include work around food and climate (see below). Do you have interest or expertise around addressing food issues? If so, we would welcome your help in starting our Food working group! Please get in touch.
