Energy Solutions
The use of fossil fuels to generate the electricity to heat and cool our buildings produces about 30% of Maine’s greenhouse gas emissions. Transitioning our energy needs away from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources is key to reducing Waldo County’s contribution to climate change.
WCCAC’s Energy Solutions group is energetically working on plans for helping Waldo County citizens take a comprehensive approach to upgrading their homes, including weatherization, heat pumps, heat pump hot water heaters and other energy saving steps.
